Red Hat buys data management software firm MetaMatrix

Red Hat has agreed to buy MetaMatrix, a data management software provider, for an undisclosed sum. Red Hat officials said MetaMatrix operations will be incorporated into the the JBoss division once the transaction is complete.

Founded in 1999, Waltham, Mass.-based MetaMatrix sells data management software that allows data to be accessed from different software solutions and used in any application.
