U.S. Consumer Credit Fell $1.2B, the Biggest Drop Since April 1992

Consumer credit, or non-mortgage loans to individuals, fell $1.2 billion in September, the most since April 1992, to $2.37 trillion, according to the Federal Reserve data released today. Consumer credit declined at a 0.6% annual rate. In August, consumer credit increased $9.1 billion or a 4.7% annual rate. In April 1992, outstanding consumer credit fell by $1.78 billion, according to the Fed.

Email Marketing Stats, Facts and Metrics - Metrics 2.0 Quick Pack

Direct Marketing Association's latest research highlights that Email marketing in the US will account for approximately 71,000 jobs this year, growing at 8-10% annually historically and projected into the future as well. Additionally, the ROI for email marketing is $57.25 for every dollar spent. The ROI of all non-email online marketing is $22.52, less than half.  Separately, Jupiter Research expects email marketing spend to hit $1.1 billion by 2010.

Online Video Ad Dollars to Jump 82.2%; Contribute Only 2.6% of Online Ad Biz

Total U.S. spending for online video advertising will hit $410 million this year, an 82.2% jump over last year's $225 million, estimates eMarketer. But this is just the beginning as the market is expected to surge another 89% in 2007 and U.S. advertisers will spend over $1.3 billion in 2008 on online video ads, and reaching nearly $3 billion by 2010.

Verizon, YouTube Aim To Bring Web Videos To Cellphones, TV: Verizon would offer YouTube videos as an on-demand feature of a TV service it is launching throughout the nation. The company paved the way for the launch with a massive upgrade of its network that is expected to cost $18 billion through 2010. Users watch YouTube videos more than 100 million times daily on the site. At the end of the third quarter, Verizon had 522,000 customers for its fiber-based Internet service and 118,000 TV customers. Verizon reported 68 million downloads of games and other mobile content in the 3rd quarter.
