Almost
half of teens (48%) ages 13-18, use instant messaging, which is more than
twice the percentage of adults who use it - an
"instant messaging gap" between teens and adults -, according
to AP-AOL survey. Technology for instant messaging has been available for
about a decade - AOL, Yahoo and Microsoft's MSN IM.

U.S.
consumer borrowing declined at an annual rate of 0.6% in October following
a revised 2% increase in September, according
to the Federal Reserve data. It was the biggest drop since a 1% decline in
October 1992.

The
Monster Employment Index rose
3 points to its highest level of 175 in November, demonstrating surge
in U.S. online recruitment activity as employers increased their year-end
and holiday season hiring efforts. The Index is now showing year-over-year
growth of 26 points.
