Nielsen Nov. Search Share Rankings: Ask.com Surpasses Google in Growth
Google
continues to dominate the search with almost half the share of search
market and generating over 3 billion monthly searches. However, in terms
of year over growth, Ask.com has taken the lead in November with a 33%
jump in search share versus 31% increase for Google, acording to the
November 2006 data for the Top U.S. Search Providers from Nielsen//NetRatings
(NTRT).
Among other highlights, Microsoft is is loosing search share year over year by 12%. Searches represent the total number of queries conducted at the provider.
