Google Overtook Yahoo for No.2 with 475M Visitors in November - Top 10 from comScore
As
475.7 million visitors worldwide searched the web for information on
Google sites, it displaced Yahoo as the world's second-most visited Web
site, according to comScore. More than 736 million people around the
visited the Internet last month. Google's
results did not include visits to YouTube, which it bought in October.
Microsoft sites continue to be the world's most visited web properties, which had 501.7 million visitors in November while YouTube had the most growth among the top 10 sites with over 2400% growth from last November.
Top 10 web properties worldwide in November, 2006:
1. Microsoft's visitors increased 3.3% from a year earlier to 501.7 million
2. Google, number of visitors rose 9.1% year over year to 475.7 million
3. Yahoo site visitors rose 5.2% to 475.3 million
4. eBay visitors slipped by 1% from November 2005 to 250.8 million
5. Time Warner Network site visits also notched down 1% to 222.1 million
6. Wikipedia visitors more than doubled to 171.9 million
7. Amazon visitors rose 7% to 143.9 million
8. Fox Interactive Media (driven by MySpace) visitors rose almost 5 fold to 130.4 million
9. Ask Network visitors slipped 2% to 110.9 million
10. YouTube (bought by Google in Oct.06) visitors rose more than 24-fold to 107.9 million
