Global Electronic Equipment Market to Reach $1.47 trillion in 2007: iSuppli

The global revenue for all types of electronic equipment will increase by 6.7% to reach $1.47 trillion in 2007, maintaining the 6.6% growth in 2006 for global revenues of $1.37 trillion, driven by expansion in data processing, consumer electronics and wired communications segments, according to iSuppli.

Macau Casinos Top Las Vegas; Asian Gaming to Double to $23 billion by 2010

Foreign investors are staking $20 billion on making Macau  into the gambling capital of Asia. Macau is already the biggest single gambling market in the world. In 2006, Macau's casinos raked in an estimated $6.8 billion, overtaking the Las Vegas Strip's estimated $6.5 billion, according to Rob Hart, a Hong Kong-based gaming and property markets strategist for Morgan Stanley. Gartner: Worldwide Semiconductor Capital Equipment Spending Flat at $56B in 2007

Worldwide semiconductor capital equipment spending grew 24.9% in 2006, but the market will readjust with revenue declining 0.7 percent in 2007, according to Gartner, Inc. The market is projected to return to strong growth in 2008, as worldwide spending will increase 20.8 percent.

Two-Thirds of U.S. Workers Open to a New Job in 2007; 90% Want Better Work/Life Balance

Nearly half of U.S. workers plan to actively search for a new job in 2007, while almost two-thirds of currently employed respondents said they may not actively seek out a new job, but that they would be open to one if the right opportunity came along, according to a new survey of 5,000 U.S. workers by Yahoo! HotJobs.
