Consumers Want Personalization on Web, TV, Mobile Screens, Ads: ChoiceStream Survey
About
79% of consumers are interested in receiving personalized content, and the
number of consumers willing to provide demographic information in exchange
for a personalized online experience has grown dramatically over the past
year, increasing 24% to a total of 57% of all respondents, according to
2006 ChoiceStream Personalization Survey.

U.S.
airlines carried 61.5 million domestic and international passengers in
October 2006, a 2.6% increase from October 2005. Southwest Airlines, with
8.1 million passengers, topped the list for the third consecutive month,
the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported today.
M&A
activity in media and information industries flourished in 2006 with 637
transactions valued at more than $60 billion, according to The Jordan,
Edmiston Group, Inc. (JEGI), the New York-based investment banking firm
that specializes in media and information.
As
both wired and wireless broadband access expands, worldwide broadband
subscribers have reached 248 million, while the 3G wireless subscribers
passed 1 billion mark at the end of 2006, according to iSuppli. Now all
attention is on delivering the
high-value apps and content that will capitalize networks.
