As Internet users embrace
Internet phone services and online video, North American telecom companies
are projected to spend $70 billion on new infrastructure to meet voice and
data Internet traffic demand around the globe, up 67% from their 2003
total, according to industry tracker Infonetics Research.

retail sales were unchanged at $370.4 billion after a 1.2% gain in
December, the Commerce Department reported.
Retail sales excluding autos and gasoline rose 0.5% in January compared to
1% rise in December.

The US online dating market will reach $932 million in 2011,
according to a latest report from JupiterResearch. The number of paying
customers to U.S. dating sites
has stayed steady at around 5% of Internet users in the five years of
the annual survey by JupiterResearch.
