83% of Marketers Consider Email Marketing the Most Important Ad Medium

Over 83% of the 1,500 marketing professionals surveyed by Datran Media consider email marketing as the most important advertising medium in 2007, compared to 61.7% for search marketing and 36.3% for display ads. Only 10.6% preferred mobile marketing.

Video Webcasts Attract 45% More Attendees Than Audio Webcasts: ON24 Report 

Publishers planned, scheduled and delivered 33.29% more webcasts in 2006 than 2005, with live webcasts outperforming on-demand webcasts with attendee viewing times averaging 49 minutes versus 34 minutes respectively, according to a report on webcasting trends for business-to-business (B2B) publishersby ON24.

Google Calendar Share Surged 333% in Last 6 Months: Hitwise

In the last six months from June 2006 to December 2006, the market share of visits to Google Calendar jumped a whopping 333%, at the expense of its main competitors, Yahoo! Calendar and MSN Calendar, according to recent Hitwise data.

Total subscribers to Internet-based telephone (Voice over-IP) services in U.S. grew 18% to 8.2 million in Q3 2006, more than  doubling the figure in a year since 3Q 2005, according to market research firm TeleGeography.

You Got M-Mail! Mobile E-Mail Usage Doubled in 6 Months

According to NPD’s Mobile Consumer Track, personal e-mail usage on mobile phones increased from 3% of mobile phone users in March 2006 to 6% in September 2006. Mobile e-mail has a long way to go before it rivals traditional PC-based e-mailing, but growing numbers of U.S. consumers have begun to test-drive e-mailing on-the-go.

Poll: Instant Messaging (IM) Gap in U.S.

Almost half of teens (48%) ages 13-18, use instant messaging, which is more than twice the percentage of adults who use it - an "instant messaging gap" between teens and adults -, according to AP-AOL survey. Technology for instant messaging has been available for about a decade - AOL, Yahoo and Microsoft's MSN IM.
